Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on mechanical piping specialist to support our industrial operations. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in piping systems, materials specification, and the practical aspects of industrial installations. This role is essential for ensuring the correct materials and piping specifications are utilized to maintain operational integrity.
Key responsibilities:
- Piping system management: Design, install, and maintain piping systems within industrial installations, including specifying pipe materials, thicknesses, and flanges.
- Material selection: Ensure that the correct materials are used in compliance with industry standards and specific process requirements.
- Preventive maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance programs for piping systems to ensure safety and reliability.
- Spare parts management: Maintain spare parts inventory for critical piping components.
- Safety and compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in piping and materials engineering in an industrial environment, preferably in the chemical or oil sectors.
- Skills: Proficiency in reading technical drawings, selecting materials, and ordering components.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and excellent teamwork.
- Education: Technical degree or equivalent certification in mechanical engineering, piping engineering, or a related field is preferred. For example, MBO-4 werktuigbouwkunde or installatietechniek, or HBO werktuigbouwkunde or operationele techniek, or others.
